How to skip time in Cyberpunk 2077

Just like The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red's newest game operates on a night/day cycle. The time in Cyberpunk 2077 can be changed at the player's will, whenever or however they want.

Cyberpunk 2077: How to skip time

This is an easy mechanic that you should know how to perform. To skip time in Cyberpunk 2077, open up the Game Menu. This is done on PC by pressing I (pronounced "eye") on your keyboard; for PS4 press the Touch Pad, and for Xbox press the View button. Within the Game Menu, press Skip Time in the bottom left of the screen. Then you can move forward in time as far as you'd like, by the hour.

Skipping time in Cyberpunk 2077 might not sound like the most interesting mechanic, but there will be instances where you need to know how to change time. Certain quests require you to be at a location within a specific time frame. For example, "The Information" quest tells you to go to Lizzie's Bar between 6 PM and 6 AM.

If you arrive at that location outside of the time frame, you will be unable to trigger the quest. Instead of standing there waiting, you can skip time simply by opening the Game Menu.

This will also save time as opposed to running away from the location for the inevitable distraction that another side quest might trigger. So you might as well just make use of the time skip function in Cyberpunk 2077 that CD Projekt Red put in the game.
