How to create a Private Match in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Private Matches in Call of Duty: Vanguard can be used to play locally or online with friends in an invite-only lobby, play with and against bots, or by yourself to test weapons or learn maps.

To create a Private Match, open Multiplayer, scroll to the bottom and select Private Match. From there, you have options to create different types of matches. Here is how to create them all.

Online Custom Match with Friends

After selecting Private Match, select Custom Game. To invite friends, click Right Stick on console, or click on Invite Players on PC. Players can use all base Operators in custom matches, play any map, and use custom rules.

Bot Match

To add bots to a Private match, select the Slot Available tab on the right side of the screen, where the team overview is and select it. This will add a bot, and to add another one to Team 2, scroll down and select the other Slot Available under Team 2. Players can adjust bot difficulty by clicking the Left Stick on the console or Bot Setup on the PC.

Solo Match

To load a solo match, simply click play without inviting any players or filling any bots. You can choose the rules, time limit, and map. Load in and test your weapons, movement, or do whatever you want!
