Best VALORANT Agents For Each Map

VALORANT Episode 3 Act 3 is currently in its second week, and there are seven playable maps in the game. Episode 3 introduced a new map called Fracture, which has become a nightmare for new players in ranked mode. Players can also expect a new map arriving in VALORANT with Episode 4 next year.

Professional teams spend weeks training on selected maps with different Agent compositions to master their craft. Each map has a specific set of Agents that can be considered the best choices for both attack and defense. Having a balanced team can make all the difference in competitive matches, and one can only do that by selecting the proper Agents. Here is a list of the best Agent compositions for all the seven maps in VALORANT.

Ascent

  • Killjoy (Sentinel)
  • Sova (Initiator)
  • Sage (Sentinel)
  • Brimstone (Controller)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Players can choose Astra or Viper for variations instead of Brimstone and Skye over Sage on Ascent.

Haven

  • Astra (Controller)
  • Cypher (Sentinel)
  • Skye (Initiator)
  • Sage (Sentinel)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Players can go with a double-Initiator combination over two Sentinels to change it up. Most professional teams prefer to use a Skye-Sova combination for Haven.

Bind

  • Astra (Controller)
  • Killjoy (Sentinel)
  • Skye (Initiator)
  • Sova (Initiator)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Raze and Cypher also have a high pick rate on Bind during competitive VALORANT tournaments.

Split

  • Astra (Controller)
  • Killjoy (Sentinel)
  • Skye (Initiator)
  • Breach (Initiator)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Unfortunately, Sova isn't on this list as Breach has become a meta Agent on Split in recent competitive tournaments. Players can try different variations of this composition with Cypher, Raze, and Omen.

Icebox

  • Omen (Controller)
  • Killjoy (Sentinel)
  • Sage (Sentinel)
  • Sova (Initiator)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Icebox is the best map for Omen, as the Agent can teleport to elevated angles. You can also Breach instead of Sage to blind the enemies all throughout the match.

Breeze

  • Viper (Controller)
  • Cypher (Sentinel)
  • Skye (Initiator)
  • Sova (Initiator)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Viper is undoubtedly the best Agent to play on Breeze. Players can choose to use Raze over Jett as her boombot is a good tool to take rush through the tunnels at both Spike sites.

Fracture

  • Astra (Controller)
  • Cypher (Sentinel)
  • Killjoy (Sentinel)
  • Sova (Initiator)
  • Jett (Duelist)

Fracture is still fresh, and players are experimenting with different Agents to figure out the meta composition of this map. Try using Yoru, Viper, and Skye to see which composition works best for your team.

If you are solo queuing, it is inevitable to face 'instalockers', who more often than not pick Duelists. Fret not, in case your teammate locks a Duelist instantly, select one of the following Agents from this list to keep the team balanced.
